The Hunt: Arkham Knight

The Hunt Trophy

Recently I picked up the Arkham Knight Season Pass and while all the content isn’t great, it did remind me how much I really loved this game. So why not go for the Platinum?

Arkham Knight Cover

Let’s start out with the need-to-knows: It’s going to take two playthroughs to finish this one up, you have to finish the New Game+ mode which lets you keep all your upgrades but sets the difficulty to Knightmare (enemies and tanks have more health and do more damage, no counter icons). You also need to finish all of the side missions which include the Riddler trophies; this is going to be a tough one if you decide to do it without a guide.

Getting the Riddler trophies for Riddle Me That is going to take you the largest time investment; there are 243 of these things this time around and you’ll need certain gadgets available to obtain some of them, so I’d recommend making one of the last things you go after. The Absolution trophy can be tough as you need to get 3 stars in all of the AR Challenges to hit 69 total. This is much easier with the additional challenges added through the DLC; otherwise you just need to power through it. If you have the DLC and find you’re not getting the trophy, make sure you completing the AR challenges with the appropriate character (their name will be in white), playing with the other characters (names in yellow) will not count toward the 69 stars you need for Absolution.

Arkham Knight Dual Takedown

The trophy that gave me the most trouble was Blunt Trauma, which tells you to “Perform every type of predator takedown”. If you don’t get this one naturally through your two story playthroughs and are trying to get it in the AR Challenges from main menu it may not pop, it wouldn’t for me. I hopped back into story mode and launched an AR Challenge there to get it to work. The rest of the trophies are either story related or self-explanatory and shouldn’t give you too much trouble. If you’re struggling with Brutality 101 try a team up AR Challenge, tag team takedowns count as toward the 15 moves in one combo.

I’m at the tail end of this one, just need to finish my New Game+ playthrough, looking forward to earning the Platinum for one of my favorite games.
